Smoky-Eye How-To for Blue Eyes
Instead of grays and blacks for a smoky-eye look, I opt for these shades to give my blue eyes a boost.

"I am hopelessly drawn to pretty much anything edgy, so, naturally, when I head out, I have to rock a smoky-eye look. There are several different ways to achieve this depending on your eye shape, but these steps have worked for me for years."
Mac Cosmetics Prep & Prime Eye Base
"To start (after my face is prepped), I apply this eye primer all over my eyelid to make it slightly tacky so it will hold the eye shadow better and not melt into my crease as the day (or night) goes on."

Mac Cosmetics Eye Kohl in Blooz
"I am in love with Mac's Eye Kohls they are soft and can easily be smudged. I start by applying the liner to the upper lash line, beginning in the middle and then working out to either corner. (Don't worry if your line isn't perfect.) Then I line the bottom lash line using the same method as before."

e.l.f. Smudge Eye Brush
"I can't tell you how much I love e.l.f. brushes! They are just as great as most of the expensive brushes, but each of these cost just $1. Seriously. I take their Smudge Eye Brush and gently smudge out the eyeliner on both the top and bottom lash lines. You don't want to smudge too much, or you'll take the liner completely off."

Dior 5-Color Designer Eye Palette
"Since I traded a spacious apartment in the suburbs for a shoebox-size one in New York City, I'm all for space-saving ideas. I love Dior's 5-Color Designer Eye Palette in Navy Design. I start by taking the creamy blendable base and apply it over my eyelid up to the brow bone using an all-over eye brush. Next, I pick up the darkest navy blue in this palette using my eye shadow brush and, starting at my lash line, I blend upward, stopping at the crease, making sure to blend the color into the lash line. Finally, I take the mid-navy blue color and blend beginning at the crease down toward the lash line. The key to this look is blending. You want to make sure each color smoothly transitions into the other."
