Dress Color: Emerald Green

Light Skin Tones

Go along with the color of the dress and choose pale green and moss shades for your eyes. (Try Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow in Green with Envy, $9.99; ulta.com) Rose or a rich pink on lips looks fantastic with a green eye shadow palette. (Try Bare Escentuals bareMinerals 100% Natural Lipcolor in Berry Glace, $15; sephora.com) Stay away from deep lip shades like burgundy. A dark green dress is not the time to go Gothic.

Medium Skin Tones

For eyes, choose earth tones like brown and gray mixed with a little evergreen. (Try Sephora Collection Baked Moonshadow Trio, $17; sephora.com) Go with a sheer red or a light burgundy lipstick or lip gloss. (Try Ramy Lucky Lip Collection, $21; ramy.com)

Dark Skin Tones

Dark green, gray, and black eye shadows will really make your eyes pop. (Try Mary Kay Smoky Accents Eyeshadows, $6.50 each; marykay.com) For your lips, use a burgundy or a clear gloss. (Try Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lip Gloss in Love Junky, $19; ulta.com) Stay away candy hues like bright red and pink.
