Metallic Makeup Tips for Your 30s

During the holidays, you'll want a look that can easily go from day to night. "Amp up the eye area by blending a dark metallic shade in the crease," says makeup artist, Angelique Velez. Then, add a shimmery white shadow in the inner corners of your eyes like Eva Mendes, to make them appear bigger.

"Medium skin tones can go for a more intense glittery eye with metallic taupes and bronzes," says celebrity makeup artist Carol Shaw. Take a cue from Eva Longoria and pair these hues with a light lip color.

During the holiday season you can get away with highlighting your arms and décolletage with a shimmer powder. Another option is to add a few shakes to your body moisturizer for an all-over glow like Fergie's.

In your 30s, your skin may experience a "tipping point": This is when you'll start to see visible changes due to loss of elasticity. Use a firming cream that hydrates to help increase skin's natural fullness.
