But who has the time (and money!) to buy every new lipstick and eye shadow shade? So, for all those Lazy Girls out there, we've targeted the biggest makeup looks for Fall 2011 and created this list that can be tailored to any budget, skin tone, and beauty need.
1. Lengthening Mascara
Thick is out. Thin is in (for lashes only!). Long, spidery lash-lines accentuated almost-bare lids at shows like Gucci and Lanvin. So, give your volumizing formulas a break, and seek out a mascara that promises to define lashes, not plump them up. Chronic eye-rubbers should invest in a smudge-proof formula, and women with flat or short lashes should always use a curler to help open the eye area.

2. Red Lip Stain
Makeup minimalists and junkies, alike, should get their paws on a signature red lip stain to keep on hand for fall fetes. Worn alone, or layered under gloss or over lip liner, lip stains are a versatile, stress-free way to sample bolder looks, like the scarlet pouts seen at Diane von Furstenberg and Ralph Lauren.

3. Powder Blush
Just in time for the colder months, the season's best blush looks have migrated away from the apples of the cheek to reinvent how we define a classic winter glow. At shows like Marc Jacobs, rosy pigments were dusted on the lower half of cheeks to get a chilly flush, while the models at Thakoon showed off tribal-inspired warmed temples. When trying out more precise looks like these, opt for a powder blush over cream formulas and use an angled brush. The slanted bristles will help contour face frames, as well as allow you to apply both delicate and sweeping amounts of color.

4. Liquid Eyeliner
Getting super-exact, elaborate eyeliner looks, like the models at Giorgio Armani and Stella McCartney, no longer takes a steady hand and steel nerves. Bypass your eyeliner anxiety by snapping up one of fall's precision point eyeliner markers. Once only available at chi-chi makeup counters, these trusty eye enhancers are now sold at drugstore prices, too.

5. Eyebrow Pencil
Aside from skipping the occasional tweezing date, the easiest way to recreate the bold, Brooke Shields-esque brow looks from shows like Alexander Wang and Oscar de la Renta, is to buy a brow pencil that's one shade darker than your normal color. Then, use short, upward strokes to fill in sparse patches and stretch out wimpy arches.

6. Autumnal Shades
Harvest-y hues, like amber and ochre, were among the most popular tones on the fall runways (we loved the eye looks at Rodarte). When rocking an orange-ier palette, just remember to work with your natural under tones. If you have warmer skin, stick to gold-based eye shadow and blush shades, ranging from light honeys to darker siennas. If you have cooler under tones, look for colors that have a hint of blue or green, like bronzes and coppers, when accentuating your lids. And if you're luke-warm on the whole trend, try out a cheap apricot lip gloss for a kiss of fall-flavored tint.
