The winged eye has returned, but this time it's been softened with color and smudging. We can get behind any trend that celebrates a smear—one less mirror spot check for us.
Emmy Award-winning makeup artist Valenté Frazier is embracing this twist on the old favorite. “No longer are we only seeing eyes rimmed in black but also navy, charcoal, evergreen, and burgundy.”
To get the look he suggests using a soft smudgeable liner to create the wing, then smudge with either the stub on the bottom of your liner or with a tool like the Eco Tools Bamboo Smudge Eyeliner Brush.
