Dark, Dramatic Eye Makeup

Using a creamy blue-green pencil create a think line directly under the eye on the bottom lid, extending the line slightly past the corners, following the shade of your eye. Take a small shadow brush and layer a shimmer shadow tone directly over the pencil and blend well. Add a glittery tone to the inner corner of the eyes, creating three layers of exciting color.

Line the entire top lid in a creamy black pencil then apply a shimmery blue-green shadow being sure to blend away any lines of demarcation.

Next, apply a warm brown shadow directly into the crease. Blend well so that the lid tone blends seamlessly into the crease line.

Then line the top lid with a rich black liner and smudge slightly.

Using a liquid liner, draw a line over the lash band. Then be sure to sweep lashes with with a thick application of mascara. This important step coats and colors the natural lashes and ties the look together.

Remember that when you're going for a dramatic eye, it's key to keep lips simple – the more neutral the better. You don't want to draw the focus away from the eye. Opt for a nude shade, or clear gloss with a hint of shimmer.
