Giuliana Rancic's Favorite Things
The E! star (and Miss USA host!) spends her fair amount of time head-to-head with celebs, meaning her makeup, skin and hair better impress. We chatted to find her favorite products and tips.

Giuliana Rancic
DDF has spokesperson Giuliana Rancic to thank for their presence in the E! makeup room. A colleague introduced the brand to the presenter, who fell in love and brought it into the makeup room eight years ago.
She's hosting Miss USA this Sunday and as a past Miss Maryland-contender, couldn't be more thrilled. Expect wardrobe changes, bigger hair and maybe even a tux. It's just going to be another day-at-the-office for the red-carpet regular.
"I love getting glammed upit's like a fairytale. At the end of the night, you always go back to who you are. And that's just a regular person, in the drive-thru at In-N-Out or Wendy's." Sounds like our kind of girl.
Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials
"A lot of people forgo the whole first step of putting on makeup, which is a primer or a base," explains Giuliana. "You need it for everything to sit on your face properly and do its job." Watching her makeup artist apply primer for years has rubbed off; she likes Trish McEvoy's eye shadow base for weekends when she's apart from her glam squad.

DDF Advanced Eye Firming Concentrate
An eye cream advocate, the TV host likes to pat it on the bone under the eye, the outer corner of the eye, and under the brow. She's made her evening routine multi-task, too: "When you're putting on your eye cream at night, you always have a little bit left over so put it on your cuticles."

MAC #168 Large Angled Contour Brush
After hours spent in the makeup chair, Giuliana has learned the art of contouring. "You don't need it in your everyday life, but at night if you're going out to drinks or to a club, you can totally contour."
She buys a foundation several shades darker than her skin tone and with a MAC contour brush, applies a line under the cheekbone. In upward strokes, the foundation gets blended in with fingers or brush. A final spot of blush on the cheeks finishes the look.

Goody Slide-Proof Hair Elastics
West coast-based Giuliana deals with summer humidity by sporting a sleek pony. She goes for hair elastics with gummy ribbing to get a tight hold. She threw us a curve ball by explaining her go-to style actually takes two ponytail holders.
"I'll keep out the bangs and a portion at the very top of the head, and pull the rest into a tight pony. I'll tease the hair that's left out and then pull it back and secure it to the initial pony with another hair-tie."

Kai Eau de Parfum
When being this close to celebs is part of your day job, smelling good is a top priority. This fresh, floral scent is perfect for vacations and summer...and her co-workers don't seem to mind it either.
"Sometimes I'll wear Kai on set, and Ryan's like, 'You smell so good! What is that?'"

Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil
Alterna's shampoos and products keep her hair sleek and red carpet-ready. The morning of our interview, Giuliana washed her hair and applied a few drops of this frizz-fighting, nutrient-rich oil.

DDF Revolve 400X Micro-Polishing System
Microdermabrasion comes home with this handy tool. Outfitted with two brushes, one for exfoliating and one for deep cleansing, it's the product that made Giuliana ditch her poor facialist in LA.
"This is my new favorite, can't-live-without beauty tool. When I first felt it, I thought it would tear my face up, but it's really so gentle."

Lorac Hot & Spicy Blush/Bronzer Duo
For summer, Giuliana lays off the foundation (unless she's working at E!) and goes with light moisturizer and bronzer instead. Her pick of the moment is LORAC's blush/bronze combo. "I'm all about things that do two things.

Flared Jeans
Hubby Bill, of The Apprentice season one fame, has "an amazing sense of style." He likes to see leggy Giuliana in wide-leg, 70s-style cuts rather than skinny jeans.

A Disco Heel
Giuliana often pairs her denim with high platforms, wearing a similar style on the day we caught up with her. Turns out, Bill might have something to do with that as well.
"I'll say, 'Which shoe?' and show him two pairs and lift one leg up. He never hesitates! And he's not just trying to get rid of me."
