“Essie nail polish in Chocolate Craze is my Carine [Roitfeld] color,” Roy notes, referring to the former editor of Vogue Paris. “I saw her wearing it, and it's just a color that works for me.”

She pairs her eggplant tips with some finger bling. “These Genevieve Jones rings are my staples,” she says. “I wear them all the time, just like someone would wear a promise ring or wedding band. I love the combination of heaviness [the stones] and lightness [the pink gold]. That's how I try to design every collection, with balance.”
