“I’m not motivated or inspired unless I look authentic,” Roy explains. To stand out, she wears a Genevieve Jones safety pin earring in one ear and a Jennifer Meyer fish bone stud in the other. “I'm teaching my daughter—who is at an age when if you look different, it's not cool—that the more individual you are, the happier you will be.”
