Where should those with round faces apply blush? Square-shaped faces? Heart-shaped? Oval-shaped?
Round face shapes should avoid applying blush directly on the apples, which is typically what a round face has more of. Sweep the product gently down from the lower apple back under the cheek bone to the hairline, softly contouring.
Square-shaped faces should apply back toward hairline under lower apple straight back toward ear, instead of up to hairline. This cuts the angular jaw in half.
Heart-shaped faces are heavier on the apple with no real jaw line, so it's best to apply cheek color on the apple. Try a sweet-cheek application, blending downward and back toward ear to eliminate the top half of the cheek from appearing too contoured.
Oval-shaped faces tend to be the most desirable shape as they have equal distance from the eyes to the forehead that's relative to the space from the eyes to the chin. You cannot mess up this blush application. Apply either on the apples or go for a soft contour. This face shape is like a pair of long legsthey look good in anything.
