The Ultimate Smoky Eye Guide
If there were ever a time to finally master a smoky eye, it’s New Year's Eve. We looked to our favorite Hollywood starlets for inspiration and collected easy tips from celebrity hair and makeup artist, Julia Papworth. You're welcome!

Get her vintage look:
1. "To recreate, apply a dark shadow (recommended: Urban Decay Blackout Shadow) to the outer creases of the eyes. Line the top creases and top lash lines with the same shade."
2. "Line the upper lash line with a gel eyeliner (recommended: Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink) and blend into the shadow."
3. "Next, wing out the shadow and liner to create a cat eye. Curl the lashes and apply two coats of mascara (recommended: Smashbox Hyperlash Mascara)."
