Green eyes

Green-eyed gals should shop for earthy tones like beige and tan. Big night out? "Take it up a notch with a charcoal or hunter green shade," says Napoleon Perdis, makeup artist and creator of NP Set.

A quad means four times the options for makeup look. Women with green eyes should wear the light sandy shades to work and swipe on a coat of steely gray before heading to cocktails.

Smoke Signals

Make your smoky eye even more sensual by picking tones right for your eye color. Green-eyed women should shop for gray and charcoal shades to really make their peepers pop when they're going for smoldering.

Brown Eyes

Women with warm, chocolate-colored eyes should keep their shadows in the brownish-gold family. "In general, you'll want to look for gold, peach, and light brown shades, but if you want to take it up a notch, try purple hues instead."

Neutral Territory

For a good, everyday color, look for a light tan with a hint of yellow. Be a good, brown-eyed Lazy Girl and pick a cream shadow, rather than powder. It doesn't require a primer, cutting back on your getting-ready time. Score!

Blue Eyes

Ahh, to be a blue-eyed babe. Ladies with sapphire irises should keep their, ahem, eyes open for gray-blue undertones, according to Perdis. "If you really want to play up the blue, try mauve shadows. It brings out the blue and will make you look irresistible."

A Plum Arrangement

Use two purple-based shades to create dimension against water-colored eyes. Perdis recommends liberally applying the lighter shade all-over the lid and up to the brow bone. Use the darker plum tint to create dimension where the eye socket is naturally deepest.

Hazel Eyes

"Bronzes, coppers, and golds are really fabulous for hazel eyes. They add a sparkly sheen and keep people guessing what color your eyes really are," teases Perdis. Metallic colors will also help show-off any multi-colored flecks you might come by naturally.
