More specifically, you dont have to be an M.D. to know that stress can cause headaches, sleep problems, appetite problems (usually too much, but too little, too), and other psychological problems such as depression and anxiety. And thats not even considering the fact that work stress has been linked to gastrointestinal problems, hormonal problems, immune problems, an increased risk of metabolic syndrome (thats omental obesity, high blood pressure, high lousy and low healthy cholesterol levels, high triglyceride levels, and high blood sugar), as well as a sixfold higher risk of having a heart attack. Double yikes.
