Do something nice for someone else
Research shows the biggest beneficiary of acts of kindness is the giver herself the act of giving releases feel-good hormones in the brain. Whenever you need an emotional boost, try a little tenderness you can feed the meter for a stranger, pick up a cup of tea for a co-worker on your next Starbucks run, or volunteer for a cause that has special meaning to you. Of course, you dont want to overload yourself with new obligations only do as much as leaves you feeling energized.
