Tip #1: Make Scent Your Strong Point
"A recent study at Oxford University revealed that when men were shown a woman's headshot, they rated her as more attractive when the photo was presented along with a pleasant scent," says Suzy McCoppin, columnist for Playboy and dating and sex expert. "Smell is linked to memory more than any other sense, so you want to be unforgettable." Before you leave for your date, spritz your favorite perfume all over, even in unexpected places like underneath your hair and on your lingerie. "Give him a good reason to want to kiss you everywhereeven your ankles," says McCoppin. "Imagine him unstrapping your stilettos and having your perfume waft up to greet him. I recommend trying one of Playboy's new fragrances Play It Lovely, Play It Sexy, or Play It Spicy. These fragrances provide women with the confidence and attitude to feel irresistible."
Men are crazy about vanilla, strawberry and other yummy food-related smells because they find them comforting, so spray away with a perfume like Angel by Thierry Mugler. To see if your current fragrance passes the come-hither test, delve into these seductively sweet scents or try a flirty date-night perfume to pull him in.
Tip #2: Get Your Glow On
Add some body shimmer to your lotion after you shower. (Try Victoria's Secret Brilliant All-Over Shimmer Powder; $14) "The flecks capture the light and create a youthful, sexy glow," says McCoppin. If you're wearing a low-cut top, don't forget to brush a bronzer on your décolletage the contour will make your cleavage more defined.
Tip #3: Commit to a Pre-Date Workout
"Strength training, especially ab work, will make you a bit sore in all the right places, and you'll feel tighter, firmer, and more confident," says McCoppin. "Also, make sure you stand up straight. Good posture is slimming, coveys confidence, and makes your stomach look flatter and your chest appear larger."
Tip #4: Strut Your Stuff
"Have you ever seen a gorgeous woman stand up, and when she walks she stomps around like a Clydesdale? You need to perfect your walk," says McCoppin. "A good walk is vastly underrated as a means of seduction. Always keep in mind: You're a graceful, powerful, woman. But at the same time, don't overdo it. You're not on a runway!"
Tip #5: Say It Like You Own It
"Using positive affirmations may sound dorky, but it works," says McCoppin. "Anything you say out loud, the unconscious mind digests as truth. So if you say over and over again, 'I'm lovely, sexy and amazing,' you'll start to believe it." And if you start to believe that about yourself, you'll have a way better shot at getting Jake over in the accounting department to notice you.
