You've heard it time and again, the key to any weight loss is eating right and exercising. But, what if eating right and working out aren't enough? Getting sexy, cut abs isn't just about the elliptical and choosing a salad instead of french fries a few days a week. These exercises will help you focus on your core muscles to result in trim, sexy abs in no time.

Crunches
Lie with your knees bent, feet flat on the floor, with your hands behind your head, and your elbows out to the sides. Contract your abs and let your head, upper back and shoulders come off the floor. Don't use your hands to pull your head because you could strain your neck. Keep your chin just off your chest—image there is a tennis ball between your chin and chest. Hold the position for a few seconds, then slowly return to the starting position.

Cross Crunches
Use either a liter water bottle or a 5 pound dumbbell. To start, lie on your back with your knees bent at a 90-degree angle with the floor. Place your left hand behind your head, but again, don't use your hand to pull your head. Now hold the water bottle/dumbbell in your right hand, lift your head and shoulders off the ground and reach across your body, so the bottle/dumbbell has met your left knee. Do 20 mini crunches or "pulses" in this position, then switch sides. Repeat on each side three times.

Stability Ball Crunches
Start in push-up position with the stability ball underneath your ankles. Pull the ball into your chest with your feet and then back out. This works the lower abdominal area. Do 3 sets of 20 reps.

V-Ups
Lay flat on your back with your legs straight out in front of you and your arms reaching straight out behind you. Then, bring your arms and legs up at the same time to create a "V" shape. Your arms should stay straight and your hands should meet the outside of your knees.
