Tester 2: Lisa, 35
The easiest part of this cleanse was making the lemon mixture. The most difficult part was not being able to eat.
I usually go to yoga 3 times a week. I didn't want to go during the cleanse as I was afraid of being too depleted and not being able to eat afterward.
DAY 1
Morning: Before the first drink I was just missing breakfast. Mixed my first glass and it actually tastes good.
Afternoon: Feeling tingly. My vision seems sharper.
3 p.m.: Feeling a little light headed.
Dinner: Much hungrier. I like making a new cup; it tells my body I'm about to eat. Or "eat."
Before bed: Not too hungry. Noticed my tongue was white.
DAY 2
Morning: The salt flush was absolutely gross. I could only choke down half of it. I will not do it again. Not too hungry though.
Afternoon: Feeling okay. Smelling everyone's lunch is tough though! I'm getting a lot of work done since I'm not taking breaks to head to the newsstand or cafe.
3 p.m.: I feel sleepy and cold. I'm sitting at my computer working in my puffy coat.
"Dinner": Hungry and very irritable. I'm missing bacon.
Before bed: Not too hungry. Tongue looks better, but I've developed a canker sore.
DAY 3
Morning: Not hungry at all. I still think the juice tastes good. I've really increased the amount of cayenne I can tolerate.
Afternoon: Feeling the same as yesterday. Licking the syrup spoon is the best. Energy level is good.
3 p.m.: Feeling better than this time yesterday. But I am drinking the lemonade almost constantly without much of a break in between glasses.
"Dinner": I'm feeling like there is no way I can skip dinner again, but I power through. My husband was not home eating dinner so that probably helped.
Before bed: I'm not hungry, but I'm wondering how I will break the cleanse in the morning. I cannot do this for one more day. On the plus side, I've slept really well all week and have had a clearer meditation practice.
Breaking the Cleanse
I break the cleanse with a veggie omelet. I have to get on a plane to go to Vermont for the weekend. I have a small salad at the airport. I really wasn't that hungry all day though. For dinner I had a lobster roll. I was visiting one of my best friends so I had to have a drink, but certainly did not feel like having more than one. A week later I have still not had meat. I don't think I would do this again as it was a bit too hardcore for me but it made me want to watch was I was eating all week. I didn't want to undo anything or over indulge!
Overall
At the end of the cleanse I lost four pounds and a half an inch around my waist and hips. I'd rate the cleanse a 2 out of 5. It tasted fine, but I was pretty miserable on it.
