FOUR TO SIX WEEKS
No processed food.
No dairy (it takes the body longer to digest).
Start every morning with fruits (she recommends watermelon, blueberries, and strawberries for their high water content).
Load up on lean proteins (turkey and chicken breast; white fish, like tilapia) and leafy greens (kale, Swiss chard, and spinach) throughout the day.
Stay away from saturated oils and dressings. For guilt-free flavor, try lemon juice with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Limit carbs to one cup of brown rice or quinoa daily.
If you must satisfy a sweet tooth, try cacao or dark chocolate.
Drink only water and green tea.
ONE WEEK
Follow rules for "four to six weeks"; reduce carbs to a half cup a day.
Avoid salty foods that lead to water retention.
TWO TO THREE DAYS
Follow all rules above, but cut out all carbs.
Drink lots of water.
Try just watermelon for breakfast (it fills you up and keeps you hydrated).
