"I eat whatever I desire but in moderation. I never have alcohol, carbonated drinks, or red meat, though I do allow myself to cheat every so often, depending on the indulgence. I believe that exercise is not only for vanity but also for its health benefits."

6:00 A.M. I wake up and have a cup of coffee with fat-free half-and-half and Splenda.

7:30 A.M. Breakfast varies from an egg-white omelet with feta cheese and tomato to oatmeal made with skim milk and banana. For vitamins, I take one Women's Ultra Mega with 500 milligrams calcium and one 80-milligram B-vitamin complex with alpha-lipoic acid. Also, I take Bone-Up, a calcium complex.

8:15 A.M. After breakfast, I walk with my daughter to school five days a week.

9:00 A.M. I walk to the gym, where I either take a class or work out on my own five days a week. Some days it's 30 to 45 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes of weight training on my own; other days it's a 45-minute yoga class or a one-hour kickboxing class. I always stretch for 10 minutes and drink 16 ounces of water after my workout.

11:00 A.M. On my way to the office, I have a vanilla-flavored David Kirsch Protein Plus shake blended with some blueberries or strawberries.

2:00 P.M. Lunch is often a turkey burger on 12-grain bread and an arugula salad with tomatoes and shaved Parmesan cheese. Other days I might have some pasta with vegetables, a grilled-chicken Caesar salad (which I always have with the dressing on the side), or a tuna sandwich on 12-grain bread and a green salad topped with sliced green apples. I always drink water with lunch and keep drinking it all afternoon.

3:00 P.M. Coffee with hazelnut creamer and Splenda.

4:00 P.M. Three pieces of Werther's Original hard candy. I'm addicted to them.

8:30 P.M. Most nights I cook at home for my family, and it is almost always grilled or steamed fish (salmon twice a week and Chilean sea bass, black cod, or halibut on the other days) with steamed vegetables, such as broccoli, snow peas, asparagus, shiitake mushrooms, or leeks sautéed in Pam cooking oil with shallots and garlic. Sometimes I make a salad as well — either mozzarella, tomato, and basil or a green salad topped with sardines — and I make my own dressing from lemon, garlic, extra-virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper.

9:30 P.M. If I need something sweet, I might have a scoop of caramel ice cream or a scoop of mango sorbet for dessert.

12:00 A.M. I'm normally in bed by midnight, unless I have an event, and I don't eat anything right before I go to sleep.
