Loose, Sexy Waves

Perfect for the after work happy hour, this hairstyle works great for a casual event or if you plan on wearing a strapless dress, says Philip Pelusi stylist and owner of Tela Design Studio by Philip Pelusi. In the morning, shampoo and style as usual. Lightly mist hair with a very flexible, light holding spray (try TRESemme 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray, $5.49, drugstore.com). Next, gather hair into your hands as if you were going to put it into a ponytail but instead of using an elastic (so you don't dent your hair), twist the hair until it spirals down toward the scalp into a loose bun. Pin into place with bobby pins to help it set as you work during the day.

At the end of the day, undo the pins and tousle and scrunch hair lightly with a small amount of body building texturizing paste (we like P2 Purely Professional by Philip Pelusi BeachComber, $28.95, philippelusi.com). Choose one with organic sugar cane granules that will create texture without damaging your hair.
