We all want what we can't have. Luckily, in the world of beauty few things are completely out of reach. Case in point: Even a woman with pin-straight hair can enjoy a night out with bouncy curls. Read on for a strategy that will give you pretty spirals with impressive staying power.
Step 1.To get your hair to curl start with hair that hasn't been washed in a day or two since squeaky-clean strands tend to be slippery. Your natural oils will also help make your hair more curlable.
Step 2. Mist your locks with a lightweight styling spray or hairspray before you get started with the curling iron. This will give your hair extra hold and texture. Try: Redken Fabricate 03 Heat-Active Texturizer.
Step 3. Use a curling iron with a 1-inch barrel. The ringlets may initially appear tighter than you want, but they'll loosen up. Wrap a small section of hair around the iron, hold for a few seconds, then slide the iron out and cup the curl in your hand until it cools to lock in the shape. Mist with hairspray, then release.
