Holiday Hairstyles Look like a Star
Who hasn't harbored a Cinderella fantasy to be transformed into Beyoncé or Sarah Jessica? Celeb hairstylist Serge Normant got four women ready for the ball. (The happy ending? He taught them how to do it themselves....)
Holiday Hair
Hairstylist Serge Normant changes a plain holiday hair don't into a gorgeous holiday 'do.

DISHEVELED BOUFFANT To add height to Bee's hair, Normant sprayed volumizer at the roots and blow-dried while lifting it with a brush. He teased the crown, then bobby-pinned the pieces low at the back, sweeping them over the tops of her ears. "Keep the crown see-through and a little messy," he notes.

SUPERSIZE CHIGNON Generously coating Melody's long, damp hair with texturizing spray, Normant blow-dried it away from her face and brushed it into a high ponytail, forming a large loop with the free ends. He teased her hair at the base near the elastic, then pinned the sides and bottom of the loop to her head, forming a large, round bun. "It's a classic, graphic look that doesn't compete with a detailed neckline," he enthuses.

RETRO CURLS To play up Lindsay's natural curls - which she straightens! -- Normant curled one-inch sections all over with a curling iron. Once the curls cooled, he separated them with a paddle brush, then teased the roots for volume. "An asymmetrical shape keeps it modern," he says.

VINTAGE WAVES After curling one-inch sections of hair with a curling iron and rolling them in a forward direction, Normant "pulled out" Ewa's curls using a round brush and a blow-dryer. He parted her hair and held it in place with barrettes along the hairline. Hairspray held the waves, while shine serum at the ends created separation. "The ends should be a little loose," he explains.
