"Well for my special brand of extremely thick, extremely wild, huge, mixed-race hair, I use a ton of conditioner. I don’t generally shampoo very often. I do love to use natural brands, like Nexxus—those oldies, but goodies are really good. I have the streak because I'm in the Broadway show, American Idiot. The guy who designed our show works at the Mud Honey Salon and he's the one who designed this color for me for the show."

"I just got them recently. I told my hairdresser I wanted them like Lea Michele—a little longer on the side, so they wouldn't be too short. I wanted to be able to sweep them to the side or part them in the middle—basically do whatever I want."
