I'm interested in trying out the ombré highlights trend. What's a good rule of thumb to follow when choosing a contrasting color?

Go for natural-looking, sun-kissed ends. (Editor note: Keep in mind that brunettes will have the most success in pulling off this gradient look. Consult with your stylist first, and be sure they use balayage highlights, as opposed to a cap or foils, for the most natural-looking result.)
