Born and raised in Santa Cruz, California, David Dieguez ventured to the East Coast to pursue a career in acting. After studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Dieguez found himself like so many other striving artists: in need of work and in need of money. Taking skills he'd cultivated during drama school, Dieguez began working on hairstyling. But the solution to his financial needs while pursuing his dreams turned out to be his true calling and passion.
Dieguez is the lead stylist and creative director at Blow, the New York Blow Dry Bar, where his professionally crafted blow-outs and transformative cuts leave clients feeling fabulous and coming back for more...every week. Available by appointment only, Dieguez styles the manes of Manhattans socialites, celebs, and beauty editors alike.
A frequent contributor to AOL, American Salon, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Family Circle, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, In Style, Lucky, Modern Salon, More, Prevention, and Vogue, to name just a few, Dieguez has won numerous "best blow-out" awards, including Allure's coveted "Best of Beauty" issue two years in a row (2007 and 2008).
Dieguez's celebrity clientele includes Whitney Port (The City, The Hills), Molly Shannon (Saturday Night Live, Will and Grace), Malin Akerman (27 Dresses, Entourage, The Comeback, The Heartbreak Kid), Kristen Johnson (3rd Rock from the Sun, Bride Wars, Music and Lyrics), and Nicole Fiscella (Gossip Girl). Other credits include two seasons (64 episodes) of Style Court, providing haircut, color, and styling for guests on the Style Network's makeover show.
