I've heard a lot about the new Brazilian Keratin Treatment. How is it different from Japanese Thermal Reconditioning?
Japanese Thermal Reconditioning is essentially a permanent relaxer that works by breaking the internal bonds of your hair so you get stick-straight results. That means that when your roots grow in they will be curly and the rest of your hair will be straight. The other downside is that the treatment can leave your hair very dry and lank.
The Brazilian Keratin Treatment is a semi-permanent extra-strength conditioner that uses keratin (a protein found in hair, skin, and nails) to seal the hairs cuticle for shiny, silky, frizz-free results. The treatment is safe for all hair types (including color-treated and chemically relaxed) and washes out in about three months.
